Armortallic is the professional grade 3-layer DIY metallic epoxy coating system

Normally installed as a 3-layer system of contrasting pigmented epoxy primer, 100% solids clear epoxy with metallic pigment additive, and clear protective topcoat. Easy to apply and endless options for colors and patterns.

The process to install is easy and fun!

Prep your floor by grinding or etching. Make sure to make any necessary repairs to the floor as the shiny metallic finish will accentuate any irregularities in the floor such as cracks, dings, spalling, etc. Armorpoxy carries a full line of repair products to make any repairs you need. Please see our Surface Prep Memo which reviews floor repairs. Then, apply our Armorultra 2 part epoxy primer normally in black color for proper contrast. Once cured you apply the metallic-pigmented 100% solids clear epoxy on the floor and then swirl it around with a squeegee or roller to create your designs. The metallic pigments in the epoxy will swirl and move depending on your technique. Spraying of denatured alcohol or acetone from a hand sprayer onto the wet metallic epoxy also creates amazing patterns and designs! No two metallic floors will ever look the same. Finally topcoat with our Armorultra 2-part military grade topcoat to protect the floor. Please note that use of non skid additives which are often used in garage applications will somewhat degloss the finish.
